It explores the thought process of this young man as he undergoes the path his family truly feels is his salvation. The reader feels he is on the outside observing as those around him try to do what they feel is right, as do those at the facility where he is to be saved. There are so many events that are troubling, especially the events that “expose” him. The subject of the book comes across as the wisest of all, and the most self confident despite the well meant efforts of those around him.
