The American Booksellers Association announced Wednesday that Celeste Ng is the organization’s inaugural ambassador and will represent its new Indie Bookstore Ambassador Program, which will promote indie bookstores year-round. Ng will champion indies as they prepare for and celebrate Indies First on Small Business Saturday (November 26 this year) and Independent Bookstore Day (April 29, 2023).
Ng’s 2022-2023 term coincides with the 10th anniversary of the ABA’s Indies First program as well as Independent Bookstore Day.
